Description
Group courses are for those who want to learn the Italian language in the mornings, in the company of other students, in small groups. Courses are divided into six levels, from beginner to advanced, and combine the study of language, culture and current affairs. The courses consist of four hours (50 minutes each) of group classes (Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 13:00, with two breaks) and are taught by two teachers who alternate with each other.
Intensive courses give students the chance to bolster the group course with one or two hours a day of individual lessons, to go over the grammar or practice language skills.
Group courses + 1 consolidate the standard Italian language course with one 50-minute individual class in the afternoon, for a total of 25 lessons a week.
Group courses + 2 consolidate the standard Italian language course with two 50-minute individual classes in the afternoon, for a total of 30 lessons a week. They are aimed at students who would like to go over the grammatical structures studied in the group Italian classes, elaborate on specific themes of Italian culture, history or current affairs, or work on specific Italian language skills (speaking, listening, reading or writing) in individual classes. The programme for these classes can be agreed upon with the teacher in advance.
Toni S. –
After trying to learn Italian on our own for a number of years without much success, my husband and I decided to bite the bullet and signed up for four weeks at Il Sasso in the lovely town of Montepulciano. It was one of the most rewarding and memorable experience of our lives. From the welcoming "meet and greet" session, to the group and private lessons, to the excellent excursions the school offers, all were geared to provide you with a instant, supportive "family" while learning the Italian language and culture.
